Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR-RI) for Industry and Development, H. Rachmat Gobel, brought a Thai company PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) to Bumi Serambi Madinah to deal with the problems of clean water experienced by the people of Gorontalo.

An oil and gas company from Thailand, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP Indonesia is present in Gorontalo in order to realize its CSR program. Deputy Chairman of the DPR-RI H. Rachmat Gobel through his Special Staff, Dr. Rustam Akili explained that the presence of an international company in Gorontalo was the idea of H. Rachmat Gobel to overcome the clean water crisis through CSR programs. The CSR program of the Thai company is oriented towards the development of clean water well infrastructure.

In addition, Special Staff Rachmat Gobel said that the presence of the Thai company was a commitment from H. Rachmat Gobel to the people of Gorontalo to realize several programs that had been delivered during the campaign and recess. "For Mr. Rachmat the interests of the people are above all else," said Rustam.

"Previously, Mr. Rachmat has also brought in clean water investors from Sakura Country in order to overcome the clean water crisis experienced by the people of Gorontalo," he said. In the same place, the Deputy Chairman of the Cadre Organization and Membership of the Nasdem Party DPW of Gorontalo Province, who is also the Expert Staff of the Deputy Chairman of the DPR-RI for Industry and Development, dr. Charles Budi Doku added that the construction of clean water infrastructure (drill wells) was the idea of Pak Rachmat Gobel with the Thai oil company PTTEP operating in Indonesia. "Their presence in Gorontalo was a request from Mr. Rachmat Gobel, because he noticed that every time he visited the Regency/City of Gorontalo, the thing that people mostly complained about was clean water," said dr. Charles Budi Doku.

The construction of the Clean Water Well which will be built by the Thai company uses Geoelectric technology. “Geoelectric technology is a technology that is engaged in the earth sector, one of which is geoelectrical & logging services. Geoelectrical & Logging Survey is a survey that aims to determine the electrical properties of subsurface rocks," added the former Deputy Mayor of Gorontalo.

"Well, God willing, the presence of a company from Thailand can have an impact on improving the quality of the environment and health of the people of Gorontalo and increasing economic movement," he hoped. It should be noted that the Thai company PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP) is a Thai state-owned company engaged in the oil and gas sector, said the Expert Staff of the Deputy Chairman of the DPR-RI.
