Sobis Pammase and IMZ Hold Battle Game to Encourage SDGS and Social Impact in West Sulawesi

On Monday, November 23 2023, Sobis Pamase in collaboration with IMZ held a Business Plan Preparation Training, which was held for three days from November 23 to November 25 2023, at the Grand Maleo Hotel, Mamuju. This training activity aims to hone the skills of the Sobis Pammase team in order to design sustainable business planning concepts that have a social impact on the community and the surrounding environment. This agenda is a series of annual capacity building that is regularly held to increase the capacity of the social enterprise team in West Sulawesi.

During the training, participants are equipped with the concept of Business Model Canvasing and SWOT (Strength Weakness Opportunity Threat) Analysis so they can systematically identify business ideas and trends for the next 5 years. At the end of the training, each group was asked to give a presentation using the Pitch Deck model to be able to show social impact and sustainability in order to make it attractive to investors.

According to the SDGs Musrenbang Desk, the challenge in achieving SDGs in West Sulawesi is in the economic sector which is not yet very accelerated. Economic growth is positive but not yet accelerated because the poverty rate in the province still reaches 11.92%. Apart from that, the Human Development Index (HDI) in West Sulawesi is still at 66.92, this figure is still far below the national HDI. The stunting rate is still high at 35% and the workforce is low at 67.64%. These points can be considered by colleagues in preparing an impactful social business program.

Sobis Pammase is a social enterprise or social business organization initiated by PTTEP Indonesia, which focuses on empowering agribusiness in the West Sulawesi region. It has been active since 2018 to manage natural resources in the form of cultivating vannamei shrimp, free-range chickens, ducks and trigona bees. Apart from that, everyone involved in this program are encouraged to remember that this organization also operates in the field of Social Business, because it not only talks about professional agribusiness empowerment work, but it also has a social vision, by sharing business results with pre-schools / kindergartens in West Sulawesi.
