Sobis Pammase collaborates with the South Sulawesi Agricultural Technology Study Center (BPTP) to prepare chicken production in Mamuju, Wednesday (18/05/2022). "We are collaborating to purchase and regulate the calibration of chicken egg incubators with the South Sulawesi Agricultural Technology Assessment Agency (BPTP) to prepare for hatching in the second half of this year," said Sobis Director Pammase Casdimin.
The Center for the Study of Agricultural Technology (BPTP) of South Sulawesi, who runs an experimental chicken complex in the Gowa Regency area, has a coverage area to meet the needs of chickens in South Sulawesi. In the future, it is hoped that with the collaboration with Sobis Pammase, it can be fulfilled from a farm headquartered in Tapalang, Mamuju Regency.
Currently, there are around 700 female chicken from the South Sulawesi Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP), while Sobis breeds around 500. With this collaboration, hopefully we can standardize the quality of free-range chicks (DoC) from Sobis Pammase.
The Agency for the Assessment of Agricultural Technology (BPTP) of South Sulawesi provides a six-month guarantee for hatching machines that have just been purchased and conducts training to the farm team. They also guarantee that the machine can run properly.
After the 2021 West Sulawesi earthquake, Sobis Pammase's chicken business unit was among those experiencing recovery due to the collapse of the facilities at Tapalang farm. Alhamdulillah, due to the persistence and support from PTTEP Indonesia, the farm was able to rise and is now participating in normalizing the local economy.
